Cages,
Cabinets and Racks:
Private and shared caged areas are configured
with Equinix’s patented overhead cable distribution
system, dual AC and DC power distribution raceways,
biometric hand geometry readers, and anonymous
cabinets.
Customers can choose from two standard Equinix
cabinet offerings or can elect to use cabinets
or racks of their choosing provided they meet
Equinix engineering specifications. For shared
cabinets, quick cabinet access is always available
because the standard cabinet locks are self-powered/kinetic.
Locks have a numbered keypad to restrict access
to authorized users
